‘Flash’ FX Reel Goes Behind the Scenes of King Shark, Teases More Gorilla City

December 6, 2015

comics, television

Strong as The Flash’s visual effects proved through the first season, to the point we’d never imagined a fully-realized Gorilla Grodd, Season 2 took it up a notch with King Shark and the Legend-ary Hawk heroes. Now, go behind the scenes of all three, and get a taste of what Gorilla City might look like in the future, should The Flash ever return! In addition to a look at the effects behind Hawkgirl and Hawkman’s “Legends of Today” appearance, a new promo reel for The Flash shows off some of the pre-viz work for King Shark, who himself may put in a return. It turns out Grodd got something of a makeover for his second appearance as well, while the brief glimpse of Earth-2’s  Gorilla City included several designs that would play into an eventual episode set there. In the meantime, The Flash has one more run before 2015 comes to a close, as Mark Hamill’s Trickster returns for next week’s “Running to Stand Still,” joined by Weather Wizard and Captain Cold. You can check out the full FX reel above, but what other CG-heavy DC characters can we expect in the future? And what might we expect…
